Zoe Ball’s deVOL kitchen
We all love a snoop inside celebrity homes, so we couldn’t resist the opportunity to share this sneaky peek at TV and radio personality Zoe Ball’s deVOL kitchen. Functional, bright and above all, fun, it’s a feel-good space that is full of gorgeous details. We asked Helen Parker, creative director at deVOL (www.devolkitchens.co.uk) to give us the tour…
“When you think of Zoe Ball, you think of fun and vibrancy, you think of passion and an endearing positivity that is contagious. Isn’t it fascinating that this is exactly what her kitchen conjures up too? A kitchen so full of personality and colour that has family at its heart, treasures and art are all over the place and they make this room so inviting, you can just imagine the frivolity that goes on here.”
“The simple Shaker cupboards and colours, the warm wooden worktops and stacks of storage allow a busy family to socialise, cook and do the essentials with a sense of organised chaos, how appropriate it all is.”
“The kitchen table, as always, is the centre of this room and with views out into an ancient walled garden, this secret hideaway in the impossibly pretty village of Ditchling is the epitome of uncomplicated easy living.”
“The big Belfast sink looks out onto the village below, the kitchen is up on the first floor of the property and with open shelves to both sides, the clutter and collections are so accessible and pretty that they need to be on show. Choosing our Shaker cupboards to work in this busy space was something that we were really proud of, we know how hard family kitchens have to work and we know our cupboards will stand the test of time.”
“The most eye-catching part of this room is the fabulous aqua blue ‘Tequila’ sign, probably a souvenir from a fun-filled summer in Ibiza. Thank you, Zoe and Michael, for sharing your special kitchen with us and for choosing deVOL, we know you will inspire so many people to go for simplicity, personality and practicality with a splash or two of colour and a few records just waiting to go on the turntable.”
