Pink and green should always be seen

There are some colour combinations that simply belong together. Pink and green doesn’t sound like it would work but when you see the results of this perfect pairing, I guarantee you’ll be smitten. Here’s our pick of the latest kitchens and accessories that are ideal for a seasonal summer revamp…

deVOL’s South London Shaker kitchen

We were bowled over by this beautiful Shaker kitchen from deVOL. This project is part of a family home in a pretty area in South London and features two new deVOL colours – Princelet Pink and Wilkes Green.

The room has an air of grandeur to it, despite not being huge. The tall ceilings, ornate coving, large wide planks and now some beautiful and impeccably-made furniture, it has all come together to create a space that feels really impressive yet welcoming at the same time.

Made in its workshops in Leicestershire, this modular range has an almost chameleon-like quality that allows homeowners to add their own character and style to a beautifully simple collection of hand-painted cupboards.

There are so many special details in this kitchen. From the huge sash window to the Calacatta Monet marble that tops the Shaker cabinetry, this pale stone and its crazy veining adds so much character and glamour to the room. The pink Zellige tiles on the cooker run meanwhile create the prettiest splashback and pair so perfectly with the soft pink cupboards and brass rail.

HUSK stays on top of colourful trend

Bristol-based HUSK has been making affordable custom door fronts and premium worktops designed to work with Ikea or Howdens kitchen units since 2018. The company now offers a range of contemporary wood and ply fronts in a variety of finishes and a bespoke collection of 35 colourful laminate fronts and all are handmade by the HUSK team to order.

“We are seeing a clear upward trend towards striking hues as clients become more adventurous with colour,” says Dave Young, founder of HUSK. “Our clients are opting for strong tones to make a statement and inject some excitement into their kitchen designs. They are also choosing contrasting worktop and flooring colours along with bright colour accents through accessories to add some drama. Whether it’s a vibrant green, a moody grey or an eye-popping bright tile, the latest designs are all about creating a truly personalised space.”

Each Laura Ashley kitchen is expertly crafted by Symphony in Yorkshire using the finest materials, signature colour palettes, innovative technology and savvy design to make the most of every inch. There are plenty of options to suit every space and lifestyle with everything from open displays and cleverly concealed storage to luxurious bar pantry storage, perfect for entertaining. We love this Dusky Pink colour from its new Mottram collection.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen launches first-ever kitchen collection

In partnership with KCM Kitchens, a leader in premium kitchen manufacturing, interior designer and TV presenter Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has launched Quintessential Kitchens, his first-ever kitchen collection, designed to bring opulence and style to modern homes.

KCM Kitchens are currently securing their independent retailers across the country for the range, which is split into four design identities, including the fabulously pink Kitchen Disco with its vibrant Miami vibes and love heart luxury feel.

“Using all my aesthetic experience and design knowledge, I’ve imbued my ‘Quintessential’ kitchen collections with a series of style solutions that I know will thoroughly capture the imagination of today’s kitchen customer,” says Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen. “My concept is to create four distinct design identities from which the independent kitchen retailer can thoroughly tailor a bespoke-like kitchen to give their customer a space that looks and feels couture but at an enticingly Prét â Porter price point.”

John Lewis of Hungerford goes Pea green for its Shaker style

Beautifully classic, taking inspiration from period designs, this elegant kitchen has been designed using the bespoke Shaker cabinetry from John Lewis of Hungerford to create a kitchen which is a true hub of the home.

The design has been centred around the large island, which features an array of tailored storage from handy drawers to space-saving chopping board storage as well as providing the perfect place for informal dining and socialising with guests.
Finished in the Pea colourway from the exclusive paint range, the cabinetry has been expertly planned to make the most of the space including the addition of a back-kitchen, which provides room to store oversized pots and pans and extra space to prepare, particularly useful when hosting.
