Dark Neutrals and Seasonal Hues

By

This time we’re looking at brand new kitchens and surfaces in shades that head towards natural, darker colours with an earthy element. We’ll also add in some accompanying accessories that will blend in beautifully. These ideas are warming, welcoming, and bring a sense of relaxation and nature to interior schemes …

A FIRST FROM KELLER KITCHENS … A BIO-BASED KITCHEN

The new endura® kitchen from Keller Kitchens uses a bio-based interior panel that can be mass-produced, but which uses MDF created from residuals from the wood industry – meaning that no trees are cut down for the production process, avoiding extra CO2 emissions. Conventional MDF uses a binder made from environmentally harmful materials, however the endura ®binder uses organic residues from sunflower seeds and rapeseed from the food industry – which are completely renewable. The top layer is high pressure laminate made from kraft paper and a bio-based resin, and the resulting kitchen is free from phenol and formaldehyde.

SUSTAINABILITY OPTIONS WITH THE EARTHIC COLLECTION FROM COSENTINO

Silestone by Cosentino presents the new concept Earthic, research project concentrating on materials and sustainability, which is a collaboration with Formafantasma design studio. The concept is to challenge the conventional approach to design, prioritising production processes over aesthetic appeal. EARTHIC ® is the first collection from Cosentino’s new Silestone XM. Shown above, EARTHIC in Raw D Suede finish, available in 1.2cm, 2cm and 3cm thicknesses so suited to many creative concepts.
