Mobalpa’s ethos is to offer a personalised service combining superb craftsmanship, beautifully constructed furniture from the French Alps and innovative design. Their bespoke service aims to create individual dream kitchens that fit each customer’s lifestyle. Suraya Memon, manager of Mobalpa Warrington, reveals how they created this striking, glossy kitchen.
‘This design was based on the customer’s brief to create a social space that flowed, with a minimal look. The customer requested an all-white kitchen however I suggested the addition of the dark wood Panga doors to add some warmth to the space’.
Q: What was your brief from the client?
The customer had moved into a new home with an existing kitchen that wasn’t to their taste or functional to their lifestyle. The space was divided into two, the second space was not used and they wanted a way to make the area work and flow as one. It was also a priority to create a social, modern environment suited to entertaining
Q: How did you set about answering the brief?
The first suggestion was to remove the stud wall to open up the space. I incorporated a breakfast bar area as well as designing a bespoke dining table to make a sociable space. The design was based on our handless range to create minimum lines and a contemporary finish. Different height cabinets and seating areas were designed to create different levels. New LED lighting worked well with the white gloss units to make to space appear larger and brighter.
Q: Which products did you use and why?
Mobalpa is a Neff appliance Master Partner, enabling us to provide a healthy discount. We suggested adding a boiling water tap to eliminate the use of a kettle for an even more streamlined finish. Acrylic work surfaces achieve a modern finish with clean and crisp lines.
Q: Was there any building/ renovation work involved?
Not huge quantities! We removed a stud wall to make two rooms into one, fulfilling the brief for a larger area suitable for entertaining and social gatherings.
Q: What elements do you think make the scheme so successful?
The mix of the white gloss and Panga units and seating areas work well within the space to answer the customer’s brief accurately and practically. The room itself looks brighter, and the extra touches such as the hot tap and additional seating answer the brief for an open, social space with luxurious yet practical details.
Q: Any advice for someone planning a new kitchen?
Start off by compiling a wish list! We are confident that if given a wish list, our qualified interior design team can create a dream kitchen that will meet all requirements regarding style and practicality
