What’s in store for 2016?
As we wind down for the festive break, we thought we’d give you the heads up on what’s coming to the world of kitchens in 2016…
If you’re looking for a statement kitchen design, check out the ALNOCERA in Alno’s brand new dramatic colourway, Convinta. With its premium ceramic surface and heavy natural shades, it reflects all the current trends in interior design, especially when teamed with eye-catching metallic highlights. A perfect combination of dark colour, tactile surfaces and luxurious gold accent shelving, it’s sure to be a hit when launched next year. The naturally textured hardwearing ceramic is also a practical solution that’s scratchproof and pretty indestructible. Visit www.alnokitchens.co.uk for your nearest showroom.
Oxide Concrete meanwhile is the latest kitchen to enter the popular Sierra range from in-toto Kitchens. The clever concrete-effect colourway and the subtle texture of its structure emulates the look and feel of natural stone. Inspired by the ongoing industrial trend, it’s available either with handles or handless. Go to www.intoto.co.uk for nationwide design studios.

May 2016 will see the launch of the Miele Generation 6000 EVS 6214 PureLine Vacuum Sealing Drawer, which offers keen home cooks the chance to prepare professional-style sous-vide dishes in the comfort of their own kitchen. Complementing the Generation 6000 design, the vacuum chamber will only become visible when the drawer is opened. Once sealed, food can then be placed in the new Miele DGC 6860 XXL Steam Combination Oven, which can be controlled within one degree for precise results every time. As handless furniture is set to become an ongoing trend, Austrian fittings specialist Blum will offer three applications (lift system, hinges and pull-outs) and four motion technologies (BLUMOTION, TIP-ON, SERVO-DRIVE and the new Tip-ON BLUMOTION), which will be launched in the UK at KBB 2016 in March. The solutions can be combined with different motion technologies, for instance with a mechanical or electric support system depending on the degree of convenience desired, so that handless fronts open with a single touch and close again softly and effortlessly with Blum’s soft-close BLUMOTION.
