Virtual kitchen design

By

We may be under lockdown for the foreseeable and will no doubt be practising social distancing for some time to come, but that doesn’t mean that kitchen design has to stop. Customers and designers are easily able to connect virtually, going through practically the same process pre-lockdown in order to achieve the perfect project.

Magnet.co.uk has just launched a Virtual Kitchen Design Service that virtually brings a Magnet showroom and designer to your home. While its stores are closed, Magnet.co.uk is allowing everyone to have a go at imagining their dream kitchen. With the help of dedicated designers who are set up to work safely from their own homes and take telephone and video consultations, those that wish to bring their kitchen visions to life can do so without changing out of their PJs.

We’ve all found ourselves browsing social media a lot more often over recent weeks, dreaming of making those home improvements that we never seem to get around to. Those that have been longing to finally create their dream kitchen are in good hands. Magnet.co.uk has launched a Virtual Kitchen Design Service that brings the choice, expertise and personal support of an in-store visit to the comfort of the couch, so we can finally channel our frustrated inner designers and spend this strange time productively.

By choosing a preferred time slot, filling in a few contact details and completing a quick quiz on dream styles, shades, shapes and spend, those who are feeling inspired will in no time be speaking with a kitchen expert to set the wheels in motion.

Once the designated designer has got to know the kitchen and customer they’re working with, they can share 3D designs over email or even set up a screensharing meeting to present their personal designs in real-time.

Following these remote one-to-ones, the bespoke designs will be worked up further and door samples can be posted out for customers to see how their chosen style and shade works as part of their home, with no pressure to purchase at any point.

Another option, perfect for those looking to go down the bespoke route is Mary Hogan of König Kitchens at www.konigkitchens.com. Mary has worked in the industry for 30 years and set up the business in 2011, specialising in German and British kitchen furniture at the middle to top end of the market. There are appliances from all the leading brands including Neff, Siemens, Miele and Gaggenau as well as doors in concrete, metals and lacquer in any RAL colour. Customers can now work with Mary remotely via online platforms such as FaceTime, WhatsApp and Zoom while Mary and her team can discuss ideas, come up with designs and ‘walk’ clients through their virtual kitchen plans. Kitchens can be created in all sizes for all budgets and Mary specialises in taking small spaces and maximising their storage potential.

If you are thinking of investing in a new kitchen, don’t forget you can recycle your old one by selling it online at www.usedkitchenhub.com. Don’t let it go to landfill and make some money at the same time towards your new design. You’ll also find ex displays and private used kitchens for sale, too.
