This month we’re getting set for autumn/winter and the season for entertaining at home by taking a look at some of the latest kitchen designs to hit the market…

Ledbury Studio

Introducing the Metallics Collection in pewter from Ledbury Studio, a new name in kitchens which was founded by kitchen legend Charlie Smallbone. A stunning design with an artful mix of unusual materials, this scheme combines sheet metals zinc and aged pewter with painted units, shown here in two shades of soothing grey. Concave handles bring another point of difference, fashioned from stainless steel that has been blasted to dull the shine and darken its appearance. To lighten the scheme, Charlie has skilfully worked Bianco Macaubas Quartzite into the mix. Harder than granite with rich, marble-like veining, Quartzite boasts a luxurious look as well as longevity, making it the perfect choice for long stretches of worktop and moulded sinks. Adding to the effect is the bespoke splashback, which was created using an effect called Verre Eglomise, where pure silver leaf is applied to the reverse of toughened glass and antiqued. Cupboards and drawer interiors are available in a choice of walnut or oak veneer and can be customised with cutlery inserts, utensil organisers and plate-stacking systems.

Davonport

Shoreditch is a new design created by Richard Davonport, a luxury take on the eclectic industrial look. Somewhat different to the traditional English-style furniture that the company is renowned for, this new style features an iconic Crittal Windows ‘innervision’ sliding pantry door, which looks great in townhouses and loft apartments. Cabinetry is available with or without a bead detail on the frame while additional elements include a slab door, the use of wired glass, aged metal hardware and a mix of timber and stone worktops.

Masterclass Kitchens

Move over blush pink, there’s a new purple hue on the interior design block with Wisteria, the latest addition to Masterclass Kitchens’ vibrant colour palette. Ever since ultraviolet was declared Pantone’s 2018 Colour of the Year, kitchen design has been a-buzz with the many shades of purple, with dreamy Wisteria being the perfect way to introduce this on-trend colour. The perfect accent to the deeper tones of Mulberry, or the ideal accompaniment to always in fashion grey, Wisteria also works in harmony with trend-setting metals such as copper on handles and accessories or team with wooden worktops and flooring for a warm and welcoming reception.

deVOL

The Haberdasher’s Kitchen by deVOL was born from their love for mid-century furniture and the evocative feel of an English gentlemen’s haberdashery. Designed by Director Paul O’Leary, this brand new collection is a departure from other ranges. Made from oiled oak, this modern retro design embraces contemporary materials and construction methods and evokes memories of traditional fabric shops; opening up glass doors and sliding drawers, revealing row upon row of lift-up oak cubbyholes full of ribbons and buttons, patterns, fabrics and soft balls of wool. This kitchen has turned those memories into a practical collection of cupboards that look so wonderfully atmospheric and are incredibly versatile. Glazed fronts are a particular staple of old haberdashery cupboards, allowing dealers to successfully display their many wares. Behind these elegant, narrow oak-framed doors, you’ll see beautiful kitchenalia and unusual trinkets.

Trend Interiors

Pronorm

Pronorm has introduced four new laminate designs for their kitchen ranges that respond to the maximalism trend for bold design statements created through colours and materials. The four laminates – Breccia Paradiso Marble, Marble Carrara, Alba Oak Black and Titan Metal – provide a luxury mix and match palette of marble, woodgrain and metal.
