The day we went to Isaac Lord
Isaac Lord threw open their doors and invited a number of suppliers as guests for the day.
So Andrew House and myself found ourselves loading the pool car with lots of machines to take to High Wycombe for the day.
Upon arrival we started setting up a MINIPRESS M and a BASE ROUTER, and as we arrived a little earlier than the other exhibitors we had the choice of location, seeing as the sun seemed to be strangely switched on we felt it best to be outside and next to the main door to the trade counter.
We duly ran extension leads, plugged in mobile dust extraction and stacked lots of timber squares ready for practice cutting, and then awaited the stampede.
The day was very warm, in fact I was sunburnt on my nose, but this did not stop the demonstrations taking place, and the weather made for a very relaxed atmosphere.
The sales team from Isaac Lord even fired up the barbecue and offered burgers to everyone.
Footfall whilst not spectacular in numbers, made up for in quality, and we had a lot of interest in the various jigs and templates, with a steady number of sales throughout the day.
We also had the opportunity to show and ask for feedback on a new fitters jig pack which we have been working on, offering BLUM installers a place to store the jigs and templates in a proper toolbox. Feedback was very positive and we will look to see if we can now make a BLUM branded edition.
We had lots of great giveaways and the plastic AVENTOS jig, seemed to be a big hit, along with the cool BLUM tape measure, so it was well worth a visit to the orange stand.
The distributor days are always fun and a great opportunity to meet our customers, and we are already planning our next event with DARO in East London.
We are also excited about supporting Isaac Lord on their stand at W16 at the NEC in October.
So if you are interested in any BLUM jig or template, and have a question, or want to see it used in anger then it would be worthwhile to check our schedule and aim to meet up at one of our distributor open days.
